Jim McCarthy

Jim is a widely published international writer and artist. His recent books include Wake Up and Live: The Bob Marley Graphic Novel and Living for Kicks–A Mod’s Graphic novel, his first original story graphic for Omnibus Press.

Further recent books include 2000AD Bad Company: First Casualties, Who Are You? The Life and Death of Keith Moon. Jim’s other contemporary graphic novels, linked to music subjects include Reckless Lives: Guns and Roses Graphic, Metallica - Nothing Else Matters. Also, in print are Gabba Gabba Hey-The Ramones Graphic, Neverland-The Life and Death of Michael Jackson, three 2000AD Bad Company paperbacks, Godspeed-The Kurt Cobain Graphic, Death Rap-Tupac Shakur, Eminem-In My Skin, How to Draw Monsters for Kids and The Sex Pistols Graphic book.

His exciting debut as an author was published in the USA by Hal Leonard and was titled Voices of Latin Rock. (foreword by Carlos Santana). It is the first book to examine in-depth, Santana and Latino Rock culture.

Jim has produced comic art/illustration for many publishing houses in London amongst them 2000AD. For whom he co-created comic characters Bad Company, Bix Barton, The Grudge Father, Kid Cyborg Judge Dredd etc. He produces NFT arts and also print and poster artworks.

Jim’s books have been translated and published in the following foreign rights territories, Russia, Czechoslovakia, Spain, Norway, Italy, Poland, France, Croatia, Canada, Germany, Japan, and Argentina. Plus, the UK and USA.
